About your situation
- How much movement do my teeth need?
- What options are appropriate for me?
- Will this work for my specific concerns?
About treatment
- How long will treatment take?
- What's involved in each option?
- Will I need refinements or retainers?
About cost & timeline
- What does each option cost?
- When can I start treatment?
- How does payment work?
About relapse (if applicable)
- Do I need to start over completely?
- Are there simpler options for my case?
- What's the cost for relapse treatment?
About support
- How will I be supported during treatment?
- Can I reach someone if I have questions?
- What happens if I need an adjustment?
Your doctor approves the possibilities. You choose the path.
Some patients want the most ideal correction possible. Others want meaningful improvement at a lower investment. Both paths can create a healthier, more confident smile when they are clinically appropriate.
Most patients are not looking for perfection — they're looking for a smile that feels natural, healthy, and more confident.
After your consultation, you'll know:
- What's clinically appropriate for your smile
- Your doctor-approved treatment options
- The cost of each option
- The timeline for each path
- What to expect during treatment
- What happens after treatment (retainers, support)
- Your next steps if you want to proceed
No surprises. No unanswered questions. Just clarity.
Common questions about the consultation.
Is there a cost for the consultation?
A $50 reservation fee holds your consultation and digital scan appointment. If you begin treatment, the fee is applied toward your care.
How long does the consultation take?
Your first scan appointment takes about 30 minutes — a brief discussion and the digital scan. Your doctor will then review your case and present your options at a second appointment. Allow additional time for that second visit, and feel free to take as long as you need.
Do I need to have had braces or aligners before?
No. SmileTrue supports both first-time treatment patients and patients whose teeth have shifted after previous braces or aligners.
What if I've had braces or aligners and my teeth shifted?
That's actually very common. Your doctor will explain relapse options, which are often simpler and less expensive than full treatment.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. If you need to reschedule, let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
What happens after my consultation?
After reviewing your doctor-approved options, you can decide what feels right for you — immediately or later. No pressure. If you move forward, we'll create your custom treatment plan.
Will I be pressured to start treatment that day?
No. We'll present your options clearly, but the choice is yours. Many patients take a few days to decide.
Can someone come with me?
Absolutely. Bring a friend, family member, or partner for support.
Do I need insurance?
No. SmileTrue is affordable and transparent about costs. If you have insurance, we can discuss how your plan might help.
What if I'm nervous about the process?
That's normal. Your doctor and team are here to answer every question and make you feel comfortable.
Had braces or aligners before? You may not need to start over.
If your teeth have shifted after previous treatment, you may not need to start over. In many cases, focused correction may improve your smile without starting over from the beginning — with the same clinical standard.
