Doctor-led

Not a sales rep. A clinician.

First visit ~30 min

Discussion and digital scan. Options reviewed at your second appointment.

What happens during your consultation

A real, human process — not a marketing funnel.

Two appointments. First visit: about 30 minutes for your scan. Second visit: your doctor reviews and presents your options. No script, no rush, no pressure.

  1. 01

    Welcome & Discussion

    10 min

You'll talk with a SmileTrue team member about your smile concerns, goals, and previous dental experience (if any).

No judgment. No rush. Just a conversation.

  2. 02

    Digital Scan

    15–20 min

A precise, comfortable digital scan of your teeth. No impressions, no discomfort. This completes your first visit — about 30 minutes total.

First visit complete. Your scan is sent to your doctor for review.

  3. 03

    Doctor's Evaluation

    Second appointment

After reviewing your scan, your doctor determines what is clinically appropriate for your case. This is presented at your second appointment.

  4. 04

    Options Presented

    10 min

You'll see your doctor-approved treatment options clearly. These are tailored to your specific needs — not a one-size plan.

  5. 05

    10 min

Ask anything. Your doctor and team are here to help you understand your options fully.

  6. 06

    Decision Time

The SmileTrue difference

Your doctor approves the possibilities. You choose the path.

Some patients want the most ideal correction possible. Others want meaningful improvement at a lower investment. Both paths can create a healthier, more confident smile when they are clinically appropriate.

Most patients are not looking for perfection — they're looking for a smile that feels natural, healthy, and more confident.

Post-consultation clarity

After your consultation, you'll know:

  • What's clinically appropriate for your smile
  • Your doctor-approved treatment options
  • The cost of each option
  • The timeline for each path
  • What to expect during treatment
  • What happens after treatment (retainers, support)
  • Your next steps if you want to proceed

No surprises. No unanswered questions. Just clarity.

Frequently asked

Common questions about the consultation.

01

Is there a cost for the consultation?

A $50 reservation fee holds your consultation and digital scan appointment. If you begin treatment, the fee is applied toward your care.

02

How long does the consultation take?

Your first scan appointment takes about 30 minutes — a brief discussion and the digital scan. Your doctor will then review your case and present your options at a second appointment. Allow additional time for that second visit, and feel free to take as long as you need.

03

Do I need to have had braces or aligners before?

No. SmileTrue supports both first-time treatment patients and patients whose teeth have shifted after previous braces or aligners.

04

What if I've had braces or aligners and my teeth shifted?

That's actually very common. Your doctor will explain relapse options, which are often simpler and less expensive than full treatment.

05

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes. If you need to reschedule, let us know at least 24 hours in advance.

06

What happens after my consultation?

After reviewing your doctor-approved options, you can decide what feels right for you — immediately or later. No pressure. If you move forward, we'll create your custom treatment plan.

07

Will I be pressured to start treatment that day?

No. We'll present your options clearly, but the choice is yours. Many patients take a few days to decide.

08

Can someone come with me?

Absolutely. Bring a friend, family member, or partner for support.

09

Do I need insurance?

No. SmileTrue is affordable and transparent about costs. If you have insurance, we can discuss how your plan might help.

10

What if I'm nervous about the process?

That's normal. Your doctor and team are here to answer every question and make you feel comfortable.

Returning patients · Relapse correction

Had braces or aligners before? You may not need to start over.

If your teeth have shifted after previous treatment, you may not need to start over. In many cases, focused correction may improve your smile without starting over from the beginning — with the same clinical standard.

≈ 1 in 4 Patients we see have worn braces or aligners before Minor shifting after braces or aligners is more common than most people realize.
